The Sunday Business Post reports that the lake house on Lough Guitane, outside of Killarney, is on the market for €1.6 million, down from €2.5 million – a cut of 36%.
The property is listed on Daft.ie, Ireland's biggest property website, as not being merely a home, but a – well, a 'lair':

The property also has full planning permission for a new 7,000 square foot residence, computer generated images of which are also included in the property listing.
Interest in the luxury property has, so far, come from a celebrity clientele, according to the report from the Business Post:
The West London-based agent Doyle’s Sales and Lettings said Ronan Keating had come close to buying the lake a few years ago and that actor Steve Coogan had expressed an interest in it.
