Today it's cook books - thanks to Irish publishers Mercier Press we have some great Irish cookbooks to be won.
You'll find details of each book below:
The Irish Cookbook by Carla Blake:
Modern Irish recipes bringing out the real flavour of Ireland.
In The Irish Cookbook, traditional Irish dishes are adapted to suit present day tastes and lifestyles. It includes plenty of modern recipes using our finest fresh seafood, farmhouse vegetables, prime Irish meats and cheeses.
The book will be invaluable to the reader for all occasions, whether they want a quick and easy snack, a family meal or are entertaining for a special occasion.
Gimme the Recipe by Sheila Kiely:
A recipe book with a fresh, practical approach to home cooking. This book has been written by a busy, working mother of six school-going children who loves to cook for both family and friends. The recipes are easy to follow and Sheila takes a practical and realistic approach to the cookery methods!
The Murphy's Ice Cream Book of Sweet Things by Kieran and Seán Murphy:
Kieran and Seán Murphy begin this book with the story of how two American brothers came to be making and selling ice cream in Kerry. They share with readers a selection of recipes, some of which are new, some old, but all made with quality ingredients from excellent local producers.
From classic vanilla ice cream made with milk from Kerry cows to Frozen Strawberry and Banana Daiquiris made with locally grown fresh Irish strawberries.
Our Grannies' Recipes:
We all have recipes that are dear to our hearts, passed on to us from our grannies, grandads, great aunts and uncles. This book is the culmination of an effort to collect, document and sample those recipes.
Collected online and by post from people across Ireland, the book is a true flavour of what Irish people value about cooking and baking on this changing island.
Good Mood Food by Donal Skehan:
A stunningly illustrated collection of delicious and easy mood-boosting recipes. If you could improve your mood, sleeping patterns, energy levels, and mental state tomorrow, in one quick and simple step, you would, right?
Eating the right foods can do that and more for you. Keeping an open mind and a positive approach to what you eat is one of the most important steps when it comes to improving your health.
Just comment below to be in with a chance to win and soon you could be creating a taste of Ireland in your own kitchen!

I love cookbooks, my collection however was destroyed when the plane hit my house. The only one that came through unscathed is my 1969 Betty Crocker cook book

Sometimes my memory of Irish recipes betrays me and the results are less than delicious! Having an Irish recipe book would restore my reputation as an Irish hostess!!!!! And increase my guests desire for all (nearly) things Irish!
