Meet the US astronaut supporting the Irish from outer space

Meet Commander Kevin Ford from Indiana in the US who's currently aboard the International Space Station way up in outer space.

Ford is a graduate of University of Notre Dame, home of the famous Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football team who made their way to Ireland this year.

In this video, filmed from space, he discusses the upcoming BCS college football championship game between the Irish and the University of Alabama on 7 January and life aboard the orbital laboratory. It looks pretty cool up there.
