Did you spot the famous Irishman who makes an importance appearance in Les Misérables?

Well, did you manage to? I'm of course speaking of the cameo appearance of the legend that is Colm Wilkinson, the Irish-born tenor who's the original Jean Valjean from the stage production of Les Misérables from 1985.

Colm was born in Drimnagh in Dublin in 1944. In the newly revamped film version of Les Misérables, Wilkinson plays the Bishop of Digne alongside Hugh Jackman who now takes his role as Valjean. It was a very pleasant surprise.
For old times sake, here's Colm's performance from the 1995 10th Anniversary concert... Amazing.

Colin well deserves his cameo role. He made Les Mis what it is today. Good on you Colin!
