Full tour details and itinerary:
Once you’ve arrived in the capital city you will spend your time exploring the rich architecture and history of Dublin before being whisked to Clontarf Castle overlooking Dublin Bay to rest your head.
Your second day will give you the chance to further delve into Dublin’s Viking past or enjoy a pint of Guinness while taking in panoramic views of the city. You can take a stroll through our beautiful public parks or brush up on your Irish culture in some of our incredible museums. You’ll return to Clontarf Castle again to rest up before you take on the rest of the country.
Day three, you’ll spend your time crossing the country, taking in grand manors and religious sites before crossing Ireland’s longest river, the Shannon and continuing on into picturesque Galway. Here you’ll be lodging at Abbeyglen Castle, stunning luxury accommodation that includes tennis courts, a golf course and a spa. Not only this but you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Clifden Bay and the mountain peaks of Connemara.
After a good night’s sleep you’ll experience the rugged beauty of Connemara National Park where wild ponies and red deer roam free. You can then choose to visit the magnificent Kylemore Abbey, situated on the banks of the Pollacapul Lake. On your return to Abbeyglen you can opt to take a cruise through the Killary Fjord to appreciate Connemara’s beauty from the sea.
Day five's trip will bring you along Ireland’s scenic coastline where you’ll take in the spectacular Cliffs of Moher and the fascinating, limestone landscape of The Burren. You’ll board a ferry in the heritage town of Kilrush to make your way to the kingdom of Kerry where you’ll post up in the sumptuous surroundings of Ballyseede Castle.
Your penultimate day of sightseeing will be spent touring the beautiful Dingle Peninsula including a chance to explore the living museum of the Blasket Islands and take a boat tour to survey them up close weather permitting. This part of Ireland features beautiful, unspoilt nature and wildlife that include dolphins, porpoises, Atlantic seals and interesting seabirds. You’ll get to relax back at Ballyseede before your final jam-packed day on the Emerald Isle.
Your final day will begin with an excursion around Limerick City, a medieval settlement that boasts some great museums and crafts. You’ll then make your way back across the country, stopping off at the beautiful Rock of Cashel in Tipperary where the kings of Munster once had their seat and contains buildings from the 13th century.
You’ll finally draw into another 13th century building, Barberstown Castle, where you’ll round off the end of this once in a lifetime trip in style. In the morning you’ll say your goodbyes before heading to Dublin airport to return home, no doubt with some amazing memories and incredible pictures.
