FAI partners with WorldIrish to map its supporters around the world

WorldIrish is delighted to announce it is partnering with the Football Association of Ireland,  the governing body of football in Ireland,  to map its supporters around the world on WorldIrish.com/FAI.

The initiative is being officially announced this evening at the Ireland v Poland match in the Aviva Stadium.

'This is your opportunity to fly the flag abroad, and make Ireland one of the first international football teams to map their supporters worldwide. Here on WorldIrish, we'll make sure that you get information on the Irish team, behind-the-scenes insights and, most importantly, instant contact with supporters near you, wherever that might be. Show your support for the boys in green by putting yourself on the FAI map on WorldIrish,' the FAI says on WorldIrish.

Republic of Ireland Manager Giovanni Trapattoni took time out to call on supporters to map themselves.

WorldIrish.com  is a website for the Irish abroad, members of the Irish diaspora and those with an affinity for Ireland. The site, which already has over 50,000 registered members, is reaching out to the Irish community and asking them to sign-up and put themselves on the WorldIrish.com map. Through WorldIrish, Ireland could become the very first country in the world to map its diaspora!
