Video: Ireland's prettiest run-down ghost estate?

Posted 1 day ago
You've probably heard of Ireland's ghost estates – housing developments abandoned, unsold, at the start of the housing crisis – but have you ever seen one quite as nice as this?
Youtuber Donny Ireland visited St James Wood, in Stradbally, Waterford, to take some photos of the 14 thatched-roof cottages lying abandoned there. Once worth a pretty penny, all are vacant, and the landscaped gardens aren't faring too well against nature's attempt to reclaim the land.
The Daily Mail covered the story of these cottages in 2011, when their price had fallen from €820,000 to just €200,000.
