They just don't make things like they used to, do they?
Chris Mansfield snapped this photo of the potholes on the Blackrock Road in Co Cork, where all of modern road engineering has failed, and it's been stripped back to its historic cobblestones - which are still there and doing just fine holding up the rest of the road.

That's pretty impressive - we wonder how long ago cobblestone roads were still in use.
