This fascinating image was shared by the Waterford County Museum. Featuring life jackets made out of cork, the image shows a volunteer lifeboat crew involved in the rescue of the ship 'Moresby' off Dungarvan on Christmas Eve 1895.
In the back row of the photograph, fourth from the left is John Reader, the Coastguard.
