Museums, segways and kayaks: Discovering Dublin in 48 Hours

Around the world in 80 days? I’d rather spend 48 hours in sunny Dublin, which is exactly what Lori and Nick from Kent are doing right now thanks to Tourism Ireland and their new social media initiative, 'Dublin 48'. The lucky couple were chosen by the Tourism Ireland’s Facebook community from over 1,500 would-be travellers who entered a competition on their website.

I think we can all agree Lori and Nick couldn’t have picked a better time to visit, with the sun shining down on Dublin they’ll be experiencing the city in top form.

They will be treated to the best the city has to offer in just 48 hours including the Aviva Stadium, The Little Museum of Dublin, the Phoenix Park and kayaking on the Liffey.

Throughout the two days the couple will be posting on Tourism Ireland GB’s Facebook and Twitter pages so be sure to roll out the welcome mat, follow their adventures and make some suggestions along the way.

Commenting on the trip, Dublin 48 prize-winner Lori Miles said: 'We’re both delighted to have won the trip and to be in Dublin for the next two days. I’m addicted to social media too, so I’m really looking forward to sharing our experiences while we’re here!'

So what would you do with 48 hours in Dublin? Let us know on Twitter!
