Celebrating 100 years: Want to take part in a special Danny Boy documentary?

It's 100 years since one of the world's most famous songs, Danny Boy, was composed and to celebrate, James Maycock is directing a special documentary exploring its rich history and cultural influence.

Tyrone Productions are making the documentary and are actively seeking participants. They say:

'Do you have a special connection to ‘Danny Boy’?  What makes it so powerful?  Do you have a funny, quirky or poignant story about this iconic song?  Perhaps it reminds you of a particular person ... an occasion ... or a time in your life? 

'James Maycock wants this to be a special film and would very much like Irish people living abroad and second-generation Irish people to take part in this film as interviewees, giving them a platform to share their personal, interesting stories about the song.'

Filming will take place in the UK, Ireland and USA over the summer and is you're interested in taking part then email your story, name, address and contact number to [email protected].
