Take The Floor 2013

Take the Floor, in association with Riverdance, is a dance show unlike any other. This brand new departure in live entertainment will not only astound but inspire you by what can be created when like-minded people put their passions and creativity into practice. 

Directed and promoted by Paula Goulding and Shane McAvinchey, this will be the largest Irish dance show in the world.

60 of the world's leading Irish dancers (and some aspiring professionals including participants from countries such as Japan, Australia, USA, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Norway, Germany, Romania and Portugal), one of the most sought after traditional bands of our time, Beoga, and a dream creative team will bring a totally unique and original show to Ireland.

The new show, in association with Riverdance, will premier at The Helix in Dublin and continue on a short tour of Ireland this August.
Take The Floor, will begin its rehearsal period on July 30th, just ten days before the premiere show.

They will then learn and rehearse a full scale production to be ready for its unveiling at 8pm on August 9th!
Following the Dublin premiere the cast will proceed on a tour of Ireland with shows taking place at Limerick’s University Concert Hall on August 11th and in Derry’s Millennium Forum on August 13th as one of the highlight events of Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann 2013.

“We could not think of a more prominent year for Take The Floor to perform in some of Ireland’s most prestigious venues. In this, the year of The Gathering we are assembling a multi-national cast of the world’s top Irish dancers to tour Ireland. We have an opportunity to really showcase the international scope of Irish culture and entertainment and demonstrate its reach and potential”,      says Goulding.
