I am from Houston, Texas, but spent many years living in Italy where I taught English. Apart from some ancestors from Ireland, my connection to Ireland is a family trip last March. I met my grandmother, her cousin, and my aunt in Ireland, and we were guests of a friend who has a house in Roscrea. It is the most memorable trip I have ever taken. The beauty of the countryside and the warm welcoming people are amazing. I will always remember celebrating my birthday at midnight at a pub in Roscrea. I hope to return one day and see more of this beautiful country. I love going hiking , camping, and bird watching. I used to scuba dive and sail a Hobie Cat 16, although I don't get to sail anymore where I live now. I love all outdoor activities, and look forward to trying new sports and experiences.
