Image of the Day: The Face of the Olympics

The Olympic Games had a decidedly Irish flavour today as the Olympic torch relay made its way through the Dublin area. Our image of the day, snapped by Laura Harbison, is a delightful (and slightly bizarre) take on the Olympic rings, spotted in the window of Tim McDonnell’s photography shop in Howth. It features the face of Irish President Michael D. Higgins. The London 2012 Olympic Games will kick off on July 27.
