Snowfall in Cavan and Leitrim; torrential rain for everyone else

It's started to snow in parts of Ireland ahead of a weekend with predicted freezing temperatures.
The heaviest expected snowfall over the next few days is expected in the north, while southern and eastern areas have been subjected to heavy rainfall this morning.
There's a heavy blanket of snow in Virginia, Cavan:

As temperatures drop tonight and over the weekend, Met Éireann predicts sleet and snow as possibilities for Leinster, Ulster and Northern Connacht, but snow will be limited to higher ground in Dublin.
The likelihood of snow everywhere will increase as the day goes on.
