Today I was at the Irish Premiere of the new Spielberg Film Lincoln, starring Daniel Day Lewis and Sally Field earlier today. It was a charity Gala Screening for the Wicklow Hospice Foundation and in association with The Gathering.

Many Irish broadcasters and celebrities were in attendance, joining Steven Spielberg, Sally Field and Daniel Day Lewis. Some of the attendees included President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins; John McColgan, Founder of WorldIrish; Jim Miley, Director of The Gathering; Bono, The Edge, Paul McGuinness of U2; Shane McGowan of The Pogues; broadcasters Ian Dempsey and Matt Cooper; directors Jim Sheridan and Neil Jordan; Katie Taylor and more.
