Just five minutes with this video will either convince you that this is the ultimate physical and mental challenge, or send you blubbering home to your mammy. I'm not going to say which category I fell into, but let's just say I'm not covered in mud right now.

5,000 people from all over the world descended on Bray in Co Wicklow to slosh through muddy puddles, clamber under nets and fall up to your neck in mud – and they seemed to really enjoy it, the mad things! 

Also, keep an eye out for the Minister for Transport, Leo Varadkar in the midst of the muddy madness.
