People actually think that Michelle Obama said there are seriously ugly looking people living in Ireland

So it was reported today that during her visit Michelle Obama said that there are 'some seriously ugly looking motherfuckers living in Ireland' ....

Thing is, she didn't really!

You might remember we featured Waterford Whispers News before as one of the best satirical websites in Ireland. And again they've proved it by duping many a pour soul into thinking that Michelle Obama would actually say such scurrilous things about us gorgeous Irish folk. 

In their piece today they quote the first lady as saying 'There must be something in the water here ... Everyone looks grey and poorly.'

And speaking about our Tánaiste, she said 'Your man Gilmore smells like a bar toilet seat.'

Of course in truth she hadn't uttered a word of this but some comments under the story didn't seem to realise this at all:

Thankfully however there were a few people on hand to set the record straight. And even some of those who fell for it began to see the humour.
