Meet Aidan Breen, who's touring around Ireland in 32 days and would love your help
Aidan Breen is a musician who wants an adventure.
Having just finished four years studying Information Technology in NUI Galway, Aidan has taken it upon himself to perform in 32 counties in 32 days.
Day 5: Aidan in Carrick-on-Shannon
He wishes to spread his music, meet some inspiring people and have some great experiences on the way. However this cannot be done completely alone.
Aidan started his travels in Galway, where he performed in the Roisin Dubh, and now having been through counties such as Fermanagh, Donegal and Antrim, he has reached Longford and is almost half way through his journey.
So far he's been successful in getting a gig in each county and it looks like he will be able to finish it all on schedule.
Day 8: Aidan in Buncrana
The trip is being funding by Aidan himself. Because of his love for music it's sort of "labour of love" as he described it. However, some pubs have paid him and he does pass around a hat where they don't, to cover petrol and some accomodation.
So far, he has stayed in tents, slept in his car, stayed with friends, stayed in
B&Bs and all sorts depending on how good the tips are the night
before.
There's no charity involved. Aidan writes his own music and is trying to get himself out there, and we see no better way to do so!
However if a charity would like to get involved, Aidan would be delighted to work with them.
Day 11 - Aidan in Warrenpoint
For his remaining journey, Aidan needs to find some pubs or venues to allow him to perform on the designated night in that county. To see the full list of destinations click here.
If you know anyone who owns a pub in some of the destinations listed, help Aidan out by getting him an evening there, or even offering him bed and board. He may even serenade you!
Day 13 - Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh
