Northern lights over Ireland Captured by International Space Station

Dutch astronaut André Kuipers tweeted this image today, which was taken from the International Space Station last week.

The image shows the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis over Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Kuipers, a European Space Agency astronaut, has been on the ISS since late last year. He is scheduled to return to Earth by June 2012.
