A piece of toast that brushed by the lips of Niall Horan, the only Irish member of boy band sensation One Direction, is being auctioned off for charity, according to Australian morning show Sunrise. Horan caused a stir today while trying Vegemite live on Australian TV. Horan spit out the local fare on the morning show and deemed it ‘horrible’. Now the uneaten portion of the toast (seen in the video above) is up to be auctioned off on eBay, and currently has a bid of just under AU $100,000.

The auction has already drawn in over 100 fans and will continue until Saturday. The uploader included the following description and photo of the toast:

We know you want to get close to your idols. For one lucky Directioner, that dream is about to become an easily digestible reality!

When the world’s biggest band One Direction came into the Sunrise studio, Niall Horan tried out our local delicacy – Vegemite.

Now, you can be the proud owner of this half-eaten piece toast which passed the lips of the blonde singer!

Please note: The item is perishable and although we will package it so that tampering is evident, we do not advise that it is consumed. We will not be including the mouthful that Niall spat out – because that’s just gross

Over 100 bids on the toast have already driven up the price from 99 cents to the current bit of AU $99,999.00.

As unbelievable as the charity auction may seem, the uploader of the auction item also included a letter from the charity Youngcare who are listed as the beneficiaries of the sale:

According to local reports, the band has already amassed an enthusiastic group of followers after arriving in Australia earlier this week:

Niall and his British bandmates; Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, found themselves mobbed by adoring female fans, many of whom had camped out overnight in order to be there when the boyband turned up.

Some die hard fans even travelled from interstate, with many also waiting at Sydney airport earlier this week, to give the pop heartthrobs a true Aussie welcome.
